Where warmth meets refinement — knit from a 56% alpaca / 44% pima cotton blend that's completely undyed and natural. Chunky enough to feel substantial, breathable enough to wear year-round, and made to soften with every wear.

Ethically made in Peru, hypoallergenic, and temperature-regulating — the same values behind everything we make at Allen Paca.

Cotton and Alpaca: A Natural Partnership

Cotton is probably in nearly everything you're already wearing — it's soft, breathable, and easy to live in, which is exactly why it's stuck around for centuries. Alpaca brings something cotton can't: real warmth without added weight, and a fiber that gets softer with age instead of pilling. Blend the two together and you get a completely natural textile built to last, not just to look good for one season.

Pima cotton, the fiber in our current Eco-Alpaca Quarter-Zip, is an extra-long-staple cotton prized for its exceptional softness and strength — the longer fiber spins into a smoother, more durable yarn than standard cotton.

Tanguis cotton is a hardier Peruvian variety, first developed in Peru's Pisco Valley in the early 1900s to withstand the crop diseases that were wiping out cotton farms at the time, and it's remained a backbone of Peru's cotton industry ever since. This October, we're introducing an 85% Tanguis cotton / 15% baby alpaca blend in a new sweater style inspired by our favorite vintage finds — with the same blend coming soon to our new Alpaca Polo.
